Helping children to reach their full potential.

Brisbane City Dressed To Impress

Did you catch a giant loud shirt hanging in Brisbane’s King George Square recently? Or perhaps you saw it on the news? Either way, it was hard to miss the exciting launch of Loud Shirt Day 2020!

Measuring an incredible five metres tall by four metres wide, it took some serious equipment, weeks of planning and what’s thought to be the world’s largest coat hanger to display Queensland’s loudest shirt in the heart of Brisbane.

Known fondly as ‘Big Loud Shirt’, this impressive piece of attire was designed and sewn by 2020 Loud Shirt Day ambassador and commercial construction company, Mettle.

Longstanding Hear and Say supporters, the cause is close to the Mettle team’s hearts; their Managing Director, Marc Kenney, and his wife Tash, have two children, Amelie and Xavier, both of whom were born deaf.

“Our lives would be a lot different; our outcomes would be very different. With Hear and Say our children can listen, they can speak, but most importantly they can have normal lives and that’s really what any parent is after for any of their children,” Marc told 10 News First Queensland.
