Choose a date and your LOUDEST attire.
We’re challenging schools, businesses, social and sports clubs to get LOUD, and fundraise to help give the gifts of sound and speech to children impacted by hearing loss. All you need is a fundraising page, and the right attitude!
While we’ll officially celebrate on Friday 19 October 2018, our supporters get LOUD year-round. We also have a LOUD store with Supporter Tees and Tote Bags, for those who prefer to wear a loud message.
The concept of LOUD Shirt Day is simple: Get LOUD for deaf kids.
You can host a LOUD Shirt Day at any time, and in any way you like (as a family, at work, with your friends, with a community group, alongside your sports club, as a school mufti day or at your child’s day care centre).
LOUD Shirt Day is a great way to educate your community, and staff, to understand hearing issues and to spread the message that deaf children can learn to listen and speak through early intervention.
But we need your help.
LOUD Shirt Day is a national community initiative which was developed as a fundraising campaign, so that children affected by hearing loss can live life loudly.
It couldn’t be simpler to show your support. All you need is a wacky shirt (or one of our Supporter Tees) and a commitment to get LOUD!
Peter and I moved to Brisbane with our son Connor when I found out I was pregnant with our daughter Isabella.
With a second child on the way, it was going to be tough without any family support, and family is so important to us.
When she was born she was just perfect, and she still is. In hospital the newborn hearing screening test was done and that came back as inconclusive.
