Goodwill Bridge Swing
Could you take a leap of faith to support children with hearing loss? Well that’s exactly what a small group of remarkable individuals did on May 10, 2019.
Our Goodwill Bridge Swingers included Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner, Cr Steven Toomey, Hear and Say CEO, Chris McCarthy, local business owners and Hear and Say family members. Together they raised an outstanding total of over $32,000!
This year’s bridge swing attracted some wonderful media coverage, including this feature on Ten News.
If you’ve been wanting to raise much needed funds and participate in an extreme activity at the same time then this is definitely the event for you!
Enjoy the excitement of swinging across the heart of the city from Brisbane’s iconic Goodwill Bridge, while giving the gift of sound to Hear and Say children.
Not only is this Brisbane’s only bridge swing event; this bucket list, money can’t buy experience is Australia’s most exhilarating fundraising event!

At 9.10pm on 24 October 2013 our beautiful daughter Maia was born.
The moment of elation was short-lived as we immediately noticed her left ear was missing. I frantically looked to the medical team around me for answers but received none.
Panic set in as we waited 4 days in hospital for an ENT to explain her condition, by which point we already had all the answers from Simone, who runs the Microtia and Atresia Program at Hear and Say.
