Our regular Group Social Skills Program, Little LEAP, for children with hearing loss aged one to two years, uses everyday living and playing situations to develop communication and social skills.
Little LEAP provides a smaller group than our weekly LEAP program with activities specifically designed to provide opportunities for exploration while maintaining a focus on developing children’s listening and spoken language skills. The program incorporates activities including indoor and outdoor play, singing and book reading to create a fun and engaging environment for children to learn and play.
The Little LEAP program also aims to provide children with opportunities to practice their social communication skills including sharing, turn taking and interacting with their peers.
Little LEAP is held fortnightly, and is facilitated by our expert Listening and Spoken Language specialists. This program also gives parents and carers the opportunity to learn strategies to carry over into everyday learning and living situations.
