Resilience and Wellbeing group program
This year we are excited to include a resilience and wellbeing group program for primary school aged children with microtia and atresia. This program addresses some of the issues that children with microtia and atresia often face in social settings by providing a safe and welcoming environment where they can learn and develop resilience, self-confidence and valuable social skills.
It will run from 9.45am – 1.15pm (3.5hrs) concurrently with the morning conference presentations. You do not have to attend the conference for your child to participate in this program. This group program is accessible with NDIS funding for children with NDIS plans. Subsidised funding is available for children without an NDIS plan.

At 9.10pm on 24 October 2013 our beautiful daughter Maia was born.
The moment of elation was short-lived as we immediately noticed her left ear was missing. I frantically looked to the medical team around me for answers but received none.
Panic set in as we waited 4 days in hospital for an ENT to explain her condition, by which point we already had all the answers from Simone, who runs the Microtia and Atresia Program at Hear and Say.
